The Department of Biology at Villanova University is seeking applications for a tenure track position with the rank of Assistant Professor. Duties and Responsibilities:
Research in the Department ranges from molecules to ecosystems and we maintain a vibrant departmental community of faculty and student scholars committed to advancing new knowledge in Biology. Our new colleague will establish a productive research program, integrate undergraduate and graduate students in their research, actively seek extramural funding, and contribute to the vibrant curriculum of the department at both the undergraduate and graduate (Master’s) levels. In addition to pursuing an outstanding research program, the successful candidate will be expected to provide effective instruction to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students, teaching a lab-based course in ecology along with another in their area of their specialty. We seek candidates whose research, teaching and/or service has prepared them to contribute to our department’s to contribute to our department’s mission should have a Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD is required, as well as outstanding research potential and excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-doctoral and/or teaching experience is preferred.
