We seek a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying software solutions alongside our in-house and subcontractor teams. You will also help establish and maintain structure and best practices within the development process.

Location: Our preference is to hire someone who can work on-site in Lorton, Virginia at least two (2) days per week. However, we will consider a fully remote arrangement for the right candidate.

Senior Software Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience developing within an Agile product development environment.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (preferably C# or C++).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (such as Python or JavaScript).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently learn and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working within a team.

Senior Software Engineer Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with enterprise software solutions.
  • Knowledge of full-stack development.
  • Back-end development expertise.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Exposure to product management or team leadership responsibilities.

Senior Software Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project requirements and design architecture for consumer-facing components.
  • Lead portions of the software development process and collaborate with team members to integrate and deploy solutions.
  • Contribute to and help guide technical decision-making processes.
  • Document and promote best practices within the internal development team.
