The University of Pittsburgh Department of Pathology, Division of Hepatic and Transplantation Pathology, is recruiting a Professor faculty position for the Division of Transplantation Pathology. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology, preferably with fellowship training, strong diagnostic skills, and eligibility for Pennsylvania Medical licensure is required. Experience in a large hospital-based native and allograft liver and kidney pathology service is desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to varied divisional diagnostic, research, and educational activities. The position will be responsible for reporting on allograft and native liver, heart, small bowel, and kidney biopsies. Academic development will focus on scientific areas related to clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications: Must have an MD and be board-certified in Anatomic Pathology, with specialty training and academic interest in Liver and Kidney pathology is desirable. Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required. The Division is fully equipped to study spatial and general tissue genomic profiling, multiplex labeling, image analysis, and practical AI applications related to clinical responsibilities. Interest in these areas is an advantage; unique opportunities exist to participate in multicenter study tissue analyses using the above approaches.
