The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences is seeking a postdoctoral associate to work at the Magee-Womens Research Institute. The postdoctoral associate will work on a series of projects translating the insights from dendritic cell (DC) biology into new treatments of cancer and premalignant diseases, being directly responsible for their performance and co-supervising additional members of the Kalinski Lab. They will involve a) Development of new CAR-T, TCR-T transgenic T cell and TIL therapies based on the principle of “alternative signal 2” involving NK cell receptors; b) Development of new T cell therapies involving DC-sensitized T cells; c) Local delivery of DCs; d) Novel DC vaccines; and e) Targeting endogenous DCs and other myeloid cells using mediators of viral infections and modulators of different metabolic pathways.
They will be supporting the preparation of grant applications and will be training new lab members and participating in the development of new clinical trials resulting from their work and from additional projects performed in the lab.
