The Microsoft 365 Solution Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders to ideate, design, implement, and support innovative solutions across the entire Microsoft productivity, communications, engagement, and collaboration suite of applications (M365 Application Suite), to drive staff efficiency and productivity. There are four critical objectives of this role: 1) Stay current and skilled in the M365 Application Suite, 2) Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities to implement M365 solutions to increase productivity and improve quality of life at work, 3) Collaborate with IT to implement innovative, secure, scalable and reliable solutions aligned with strategic direction, and 4) M365 Solution support, maintenance, and training.

The pay range for this position starts at $98,600 and above, depending on candidate qualifications and experience as related to the position requirements.
Essential Functions

Design, architect, configure and/or develop, implement, and support enterprise-level solutions using the entire M365 Application Suite.Develop and maintain a roadmap for M365 Solutions aligning with IT strategic planning and organizational goals. Develop and maintain technical documentation, data flow diagrams, and solution architecture diagrams to support M365 solutions.Design, configure and/or develop, implement, and support system integrations with M365 solutions.Work with IT Business Partners to gather requirements, design, configure/extend, implement, and support solutions.Collaborate with IT Business Partners and business unit stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.Partner with other IT teams, including the technical infrastructure and security teams, to design and implement solutions that are secure and fit with WaterOne’s overall IT strategy and solution roadmap including disaster recovery and maintaining business continuity.Provide expert guidance on M365 Application Suite.Stay current with the latest M365 Application Suite products, features, updates, and trends and make recommendations to incorporate them into solutions.Collaborate with IT Teams (Operations, Service Desk, Data, Security, Business Partners, ERP, GIS, and Application Development) to ensure solutions align with overall IT strategy and architecture.Support WaterOne personnel with issues related to M365 Solution Suite and related integrations and solutions.Partner with the WaterOne Training team, to identify, create and conduct training and workshop sessions to increase adoption and proficiency of M365 Solutions among WaterOne employees.Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues related to M365 solutions and integrations.Ensure that deployed solutions meet industry best practices, and are scalable, secure, and reliable.Align solutions and training with WaterOne’s acceptable use of technology and security policies.Align design and solutions with WaterOne’s record management practices and policies.Mentor and guide other IT team members related to M365 Solutions and integrations.Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or a related discipline.Five years of experience in solution analysis, business analysis, application development or related field.Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting the requirements above.
Experience configuring/developing, implementing and supporting solutions leveraging the M365 Application Suite.Experience designing, developing and implementing solutions following a standard system development lifecycle. Experience with data and content management.Experience working with Business Partners and Business Analysts to understand business opportunities and solution requirements. Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft Technical Certifications.Experience with Generative AI Technologies (such as MS Copilot).Experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
