DHL Barbados is seeking to recruit for the position of Retail Agent.
Main Responsibilities
Accepts and registers payments for all DHL services.
Collects sales for new or additional services.
Retrieves shipments from the inbound area for delivery and accepts outbound shipments from customers.
Processes and adjusts billing and service complaints made by customers.
Offers alternatives to customers and potentially turns information calls or walk-ins into sales leads, or identifies additional value-added services to customers when opportunities arise during interaction.
Responds to customers consistently and confidently by providing accurate information in all areas, such as customs requirements, transit time, and prices.
Assists with the processing and assigning of each passport with a legitimate AWB.
Performs daily cash reconciliation.
Follows guides, rules, and procedures when delivering passports/packages to customers.
Ensures that each passport that is delivered to the location from the embassy is accurately accounted for.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and required.
Highlights areas for improvement with suggested solutions to improve DHL’s procedures, technology, and service to positively enhance customers’ experience.
Adheres to existing Customer Service procedures as outlined in the department manuals, while maintaining discretion to exercise flexibility to customers’ needs within reasonable limits in consultation with POS supervisors and managers.
Supports CS and additional coverage as needed in back office functions.
Minimum Education and Experience
English verbal and written proficiency
Negotiation and interpersonal in-person and telephone skills
Typing, conflict resolution and the ability to navigate in computer systems
High school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrate ability to influence decisions /actions
Self-starter, motivated and organized
Ability to work under pressure
Generally 2 or more years Customer Service Experience
