Job Details:

Mercer University Athletics is searching for a Director of Creative Content.


Responsibilities:

The Director of Creative Content provides leadership and sets the overall creative vision and strategy across all content platforms for the Athletics department. This role oversees the creation of campaigns, media, and branded content to elevate the visibility and reputation of the athletics program. The Director ensures that all creative work aligns with the department’s brand values, strategic goals, and resonates with the target audience, including prospective student-athletes, fans, alumni, donors, and the broader community.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, multimedia production, or a related field and three years of progressive experience in creative content, marketing, promotions, and/or game presentation are required. Some leadership experience is required.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated.

  • Strong organizational, management and leadership skills.

  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively.

  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.

  • Available to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing creative strategies across platforms.

  • Strong understanding of brand development, storytelling, and audience engagement in a sports context.

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, digital media tools, and content management systems.

  • Working knowledge of photography, videography, and post-production workflows.
