Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with insurance carriers to secure favorable terms and rates for the organization, informed by a deep understanding of both present and emerging carrier priorities.
Credentialing Management: Oversee the credentialing process for all VieMed Inc. companies, ensuring timely and accurate completion of applications and renewals.
Compliance: Ensure all contracts and credentialing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with insurance carriers, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders by proactively engaging with carriers to understand their evolving business models and strategic goals.
Data Analysis: Analyze contract performance and credentialing metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of contracting and credentialing specialists, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues related to insurance contracts and credentialing in a timely manner.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on contract status, credentialing progress, and performance metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance contracting and credentialing within the healthcare industry.
Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in healthcare regulations and compliance.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in healthcare management or credentialing are a plus.
Working Conditions:
Environment: Office setting with occasional travel to meet with insurance carriers and healthcare providers.
