Job Summary
Performs routine, repetitive clerical/accounting tasks in general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related financial area. Posts journal entries, processes payments, verifies information, files and prepares accounting reports. Performs other tasks as required.
ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Matches, batches and processes accounts payable invoices, including weekly check runs.
• Prepares journal entries.
• Computes, records activity, and reconciles various general ledger accounts.
• Compiles and prepares accounting reports.
• Files and maintains financial records.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Attention to detail is vital
• Ability to type sufficiently to meet the needs of the department
• Ability to use a 10-key calculator by touch.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Select one from the drop down
High School Graduate or GED
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years
plus at least two years of full cycle accounts payable experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about. Examples: executive, management and secretarial position
