The Business Analyst will bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring effective communication and project execution. The role requires strong technical skills and experience in business processes and collaboration systems. Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating business needs of stakeholders, whether customers or end users. This involves interviewing stakeholders and compiling user requirements to design collaborative solutions for various platforms. The Business Analyst will apply their communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support custom development and ensure project deliverables meet specifications.

Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
Design technology solutions to enable business collaboration requirements and processes.
Maintain a sufficient level of expertise with the organization’s current collaboration platform(s).
Maintain current knowledge of rapidly changing collaboration technology market.
Incorporate collaboration technology services to enable employee-to-employee collaboration in business processes and within organizational units such as project teams and permanent teams.
Engage with project managers and project sponsors to develop project scope and vision for all collaboration-related projects.
Clearly identify project stakeholders and establish user classes, as well as their characteristics.
Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
Maintain a catalog of common collaboration patterns for reuse in new collaboration solution designs.
Operational Management
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
Develop and use standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications.
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Where applicable, develop prototypes of interfaces and attributes based on the user requirements.
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team, using new and existing collaboration patterns.
Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the collaboration project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or management information systems and three to five years related work experience.
Training or experience in business-project management.
Knowledge & Experience
4 - 6 years experience in building and specifying mission-critical business applications, at least one year with collaboration technologies.
A firm grasp of social collaboration technologies and concepts.
Working technical knowledge of SQL, HTML, Java, or VB.Net programming languages.
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
Understanding of application development and software development lifecycle concepts for collaboration solutions requiring custom development.
Ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user friendly language.
Ability to apply statistical and other research methods to systems issues and products as required.

Preferred Knowledge
Familiarity with Dynamics 365: Candidates should possess an understanding of Dynamics 365, or similar CRM systems, including its functionalities, applications, and integration capabilities.
Proficiency in Power BI: Expertise in Power BI is highly valuable. The ideal candidate should be skilled in data visualization, report creation, and the interpretation of complex datasets.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot: Familiarity with Copilot, its functionalities, and its impact on productivity and workflow automation is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to leverage Copilot to enhance collaborative efforts, streamline tasks, and contribute to an efficient working environment.
Knowledge of JDE: Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) is highly desirable.
Work Conditions

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
