Position Summary
The Senior Business Planner is a high-impact individual contributor responsible for leading complex planning initiatives and delivering insights that influence strategic and operational decisions across a global manufacturing network. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen to understand financial influences and how Global Operations needs to respond to them, drive capacity analysis, KPI development, and cross-functional project execution.
The role collaborates closely with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Commercial teams to ensure alignment between strategy and execution. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, systems-thinking mindset with the ability to synthesize data into action and lead through influence across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Work with FP&A to analyze initiatives supporting operational decision-making, long-term planning, and business performance tracking.
Design and manage executive dashboards for key metrics (cost, delivery, quality, capacity, inventory) with a focus on actionable insights.
Perform advanced capacity modeling and scenario analysis to inform footprint, investment, and resource allocation decisions.
Support strategic planning and Hoshin/Policy Deployment cycles by aligning operational metrics with corporate objectives.
Coordinate cross-functional projects ensuring visibility, ownership, and accountability from planning through execution.
Serve as a key thought partner to leadership, preparing business cases, executive presentations, and decision support materials.
Identify gaps in planning processes and lead improvements in systems, tools, and reporting infrastructure.
Mentor other analysts or planners, guiding best practices in data analysis, KPI Dashboards, and project planning.
Support the creation, validation, and tracking of business cases and cost savings initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
7+ years of experience in business planning, operations finance, FP&A, or strategic operations roles.
Strong business acumen with a track record of driving alignment across Finance, Operations, and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with analytical tools and dashboard platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, PowerPivot).
Experience with manufacturing, capacity, and operational KPIs in a global/multi-site environment.
Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to present to and work with executive leadership.
Strong project management skills; able to lead and track multiple initiatives simultaneously.
