Standing and lifting & repositioning patients. pulling & pushing beds, stretchers, chairs, patient equipment. Some sitting for administrative computer work
Shift
Will work 7PM-730AM, 36 hours / week. Will also be required to work some weekends
and holidays as needed for coverage.
Job Summary
The ED DCN position has responsibility for administrative, business and operational planning and assessment. Position is essential to patient care flow. The ED DCN will assist with patient flow through the continuum of care by working with HOA & physician teams. Provide added leader oversight for the service line on all shifts 24/7. Assist with monitoring quality measures & assuring joint commission readiness for all shifts. This position will also provide assistance with staff mentoring & educational support while on shift. The ED DCN will also be the first line of contact for service line when nursing leadership is not readily available.
This position has responsibility for administrative, business and operational planning and assessment. Position is essential to patient care flow.

ED experience with ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC preferred.
