We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Senior Controlling Manager EMEA. In this position you will lead regional financial reporting routines, collaborating with clusters to interpret and simplify data for senior management, while embracing flexibility to tackle technical challenges and craft compelling executive presentations. You will streamline FP&A and controlling processes to ensure timely, high-quality global reports, engage with stakeholders to align expectations on projections, and deliver proactive assessments of business trends to identify key risks and opportunities.
The location is open for EMEA wide, however we have a preference for Bonn.Â
What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead regional results consolidation and interpret data for clusters, creating compelling executive summaries for key discussions.
- Act as the finance focal point for ESG KPI interpretation, equipping top management with essential insights for decision-making.
- Develop a comprehensive calendar for FP&A reporting deliverables, aligning regional needs with global schedules for timely insights.
- Create templates for key deliverables, ensuring a logical flow of topics for financial reviews in cluster meetings.
- Monitor and follow up on deliverables to meet deadlines, consolidating results for the regional Senior Management Team.
- Propose strategic financial steering based on emerging trends like GP Max and digitalization, aligning with global discussions.
- Ensure consistency in reporting hierarchies across systems to enhance data integrity and reliability.
- Adjust off-line controls to maintain consistent reporting hierarchies for accurate financial tracking.
- Actively monitor results across systems to identify inconsistencies and make adjustments for harmonious reporting.
- Manage month-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure accurate results reporting.
You won’t find another Senior Controlling Manager EMEA position like the one you’ll find with DHL Supply Chain. Now, here’s what we need from you:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant finance experience, ideally in roles like finance controlling or FP&A.
- Demonstrate a solid track record of advancement in similar roles, showcasing your expertise in financial analysis and controlling.
- Proven ability to effectively resolve conflicts, fostering positive relationships among senior stakeholders and promoting a collaborative environment.
- Experience in the creation and execution of financial modeling frameworks and processes that enhance our analytical capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and financial tools like Oracle R12, Vision, CREST, and SmartView to streamline reporting and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate insights across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification, such as an MBA.
- Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English
