Job Purpose:
Responsible for the Procurement interface with the Project Delivery/Solutions Design areas and for ensuring that team members will perform the assigned tasks within the expected time, budget and identify potential cost reductions during implementation. Must also carry out quotations to support RFQs from potential customers, meeting deadlines and competitiveness with suppliers, document project progress, scope changes, their results and address any issues with the team.
Your tasks:
- New Business Support, Start-ups of new operations, Project Delivery in Procurement
- Project Delivery Management
- Application of Sourcing methodology
- Analysis and Cost Reduction (via global targets defined for the category)
- Management of global, regional and local KPIs for your category
- Support to all DHL Business Units in Brazil
- Service to global, regional and local Compliance of the respective Business Unit
- Interaction with other countries to share best practices and category strategy
- Act as an interface between the various areas involved/affected by the project and the Procurement area.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules and estimates with suppliers.
- Conduct meetings, monitor development and critically analyze the project with buyers and suppliers.
- Ensure that Procurement will deliver the expected budget and schedule for the project.
- Occasional trips in OPS and DHL Brazil Bases
- Monitoring by general local, regional and global Procurement and BU Base KPIs
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree -preference for Engineering or Business Administration
- Experience in the Procurement and Project Management (+5 years)
- Proficiency in English and also in Spanish – reading, writing & speaking
- Great communication style and analytical skills
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and internal customers in scope
- Provide advice and support to internal customer with specs
- Contribute to the successful cooperation between region / country and sourcing community
- Explain facts, policies and practices related to your job area
- Develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen the organizational, product and market knowledge
