DHL is seeking to employ a Junior Legal Counsel who provides the organization with effective legal advice and services. In order to accommodate the legal service needs of our company, this new position shall be the main point of contact for commercial contracts and legal matters and be the interface to our external laywers and internal legal services department in the headquarter.

  • Provide the company with effective legal advice and guidance on corporate and commercial issues, conduct research and draft memos into a variety of legal topics to support the business objectives,
  • Collaboration with DP DHL’s central legal services and outside counsels to coordinate and follow-up the litigations,
  • Liaising with other members of the Legal Department, providing professional advice and guidance to intra-company customers,
  • Managing enquiries from international departmental functions, carrying out tasks as required in order to support the Legal department team members and business units,
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc reports and providing other administrative assistance within the Legal Department,
  • Give necessary support to senior in house legal counsel,
  • Draft, review all types of contracts both in Turkish and English,
  • Responsible for assuring organization's legal interests are best represented and protected in customer, vendor and third party contracts; active participant in negotiating such contracts in area of responsibility,
  • Implementing the legal processes required to affect the privileges, obligations, and rights of the organization,
  • Preparing and reviewing various legal documents,
  • Customer claim management,
  • Responsible for defending the company's legal interests in litigation and claims,
  • Provide legal advice on Corporate and Compliance matters within company and ensure that legal & compliance principles are adhered to in Management decisions-making in order to enable DGF to act in accordance with best-in-class compliance standards,
  • Participating in projects and practice groups,
  • Maintaining awareness of relevant laws and changes in the law that may have an impact on company interests,
  • Graduated from a reputable Law Faculty and admitted to a Bar,
  • Advanced command of English; German would be an asset,
  • Between 5-10 years of experience in relevant field,
  • Solid background in Contract Management, Claims Handling, International Transport Law,
  • Strong personal, negotiation and communication skills,
  • Good team player,
  • Commitment to outstanding performance,
  • Ability to equilibrate priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines,
  • Multi-task oriented, strong analytical skills,
  • Good organizational and follow-up skills,
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications,
  • No military obligation for male candidates,
  • No restriction for travelling,
  • Residence on the European side of ?stanbul preferred,
