Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management across the assigned business unit. Reporting to the VPHR, the HRBP will deliver value-added service to management, company leadership, and employees to build and implement meaningful HR programs and foster an inclusive culture across the field.
This position will be a strategic business partner to the Division management team and will provide ground support in implementing major corporate and HR initiatives, including the roll out of new policies and programs.
Responsibilities Include:
Serve as an embedded Human Resources representative to the designated business unit, prioritizing a deep involvement and understanding of organizational culture and operations.
Partner with the business to address Human Resources needs for internal customers by providing services that include employee relations, talent management, HR policy administration, change management, and implementation of key human resources initiatives that support the needs of the business.
Participate as a member of the division management team in developing, advocating, and executing HR plans to meet business objectives and customer requirements.
Participate as a member of the HR leadership team focusing on both daily operations management and strategic future initiatives.
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to management and leadership teams.
Lead and support HR projects and key initiatives from ideation, development, and implementation.
Facilitate, lead, and support communications and messaging through the business.
Have complete knowledge of the company procedures, with emphasis on employee relations, hiring, staffing, and wage and salary administration and utilize them appropriately.
Identify ways to improve employee retention, including strategies to enhance employee engagement, leadership and staff development, career pathing, and promoting a coherent organization culture.
Guide, provide coaching to, and participate with managers to facilitate performance, policy, disciplinary and other complex issues with employees.
Drive and lead efforts to promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Serve as liaison between the business and HR Shared Services. Serve as employee point of contact to address issues and process requests.
Partner with talent acquisition, development, and total rewards COE’s on programs needed for the business unit.
Use data to analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
Support organization structure changes and workforce planning efforts.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations as well as identifying and mitigating risks.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field
5+ years of HR Generalist or Business Partner support
Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
A working knowledge of employment laws
Record of success advising managers on the full range of HR/people issues
Demonstrated ability to quickly establish effective relationships, collaborate, lead and influence
Certified HR Professional designation preferred
Knowledge of all functional areas of Human Resources
Experience in transportation/logistics or manufacturing industry preferred
