The MWR Supervisor / Assistant Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for recreational services support in the following functional areas: Cashier, Lodging, Food/Beverage, Escorts, Personnel Personal Trainers and Linen services.   The supervisor shall provide program planning and execution, and supervision of contract labor to meet all requirements. The supervisor shall submit program planning and implementation to the Alternate Site Manager/Recreational Manager, Site Manager and/or COR or a designated Government representative (DGR) for approval.  The supervisor shall be present at events to effectively manage and monitor the programs.  As Assistant Marketing Coordinator the supervisor will assist in implementation and maintenance of an integrated marketing program in support of Community Services Flight objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure successful services provided in all recreation functional areas:
    • Morale Welfare Recreation (MWR)
    • Learning Resources Center (LRC)
    • Theater
    • Marketing
  • Oversee program planning, execution and labor and supervision of Recreation Program.
  • Ensure proper protection, tracking and replenishment of all equipment.  Must establish, execute and monitor a 5-year equipment replacement plan.
  • Ensure a 120-day look ahead calendar of events for all recreational activities maintained, executed and reported to COR monthly.
  • Assist with coordinating all arriving entertainer schedules and needs inclusive of lodging, host nation requirements, set-up and teardown.
  • Identify supply requirements and prepare necessary documentation for purchase.
  • Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.
  • Monitor all OCN/LN staff performance and provide the necessary training to perform the assigned duties to meet the customer requirements
  • Assist in professional industry standard marketing material with no more than two (2) defects per month.

 

·        During Marketing Coordinator’s absence, act as back up to ensure below marketing objectives maintained:

·        Meet 48-hour turnaround on normal marketing material and products.

·        Meet short notice turn-around times as short as one hour with no mor than two (2) defects per month.

·        Maintain, advertise and submit events on the EFSS Marketing Channel.

·        Ensure all trips and tour inquiries receive a response within 12 hours of receipt.

·        Coordinate and ensure effective transportation in support of the tour.

·        Meet all established deadlines for daily, weekly, and monthly publications as required by the PWS.

·        Design, print, distribute and remove all appropriate material for programs and events.

·        Prepare all marketing supply requirements through identified documents and/or requisitions.

  • Assist with other facilities or departments as needed to ensure mission success.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience in recreational programs, fitness center operations, learning resource center operations, community activity operations, theatre operations.
  • At least one (1) year of experience developing graphics for marketing, publicity and/or advertising using Microsoft and other related programs.
  • Intermediate knowledge of updating apps, on-line newsletters, Intranet applications, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with professional plotters. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of regulations and rules of play regarding any weekly recreational activity or tournament hosted.
  • Food and Beverage Handler’s Course Certificate

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a valid U.S. Passport
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, including vaccination for COVID-19 as outlined in Paragraph 1.A. of the USCENTCOM JAN 22 MOD SIXTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Kuwait.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have and maintain an U.S. Secret Clearance.
