As the Water Delivery Lead, you will support logistics services inclusive of water supply, lodging furniture moves.  Position may require your support as needed in lodging duties inclusive of lodging personnel logistics (reservations) and in-processing/out-processing of personnel housed at location. 

For logistics support of water, you are responsible for receipt and delivery of water pallets, managing inventory levels, and providing ready-to-order document for re-stocking requirements. 

Other duties may be assigned inclusive of assisting with lodging logistic duties inclusive of storage, ordering, inventory, assembly & breakdown, installation, and removal & delivery of lodging furniture.  Lodging furniture includes bed frames, refrigerators, dehumidifiers, nightstands, wall lockers and other related lodging furniture.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide Water Delivery Services between the hours of 0700-1900 Sunday through Friday as needed to maintain minimum water supply levels at all distribution points.  During hotter months delivery hours will be 0300-1500. 
  • Responsible for delivery of water; responding to individual delivery requests; managing inventory levels; and providing a ready-to-order document to the Government for re-stocking requirements.  You shall manage the water within the Class I storage area.
  • The estimated amount of water delivered to the base is approximately 120-125 pallets per week.  You shall deliver approximately 20 pallets per day to designated drop points.  There are 114 water drop-off locations.
  • Meet delivery trucks at the front gate and provide a USN Monitor of LNs/OCNs for the water delivery vehicles to the storage area to ensure the water delivery contractor is fully escorted at all times.  You will ensure the delivery trucks are fully escorted off the base after each water delivery has been completed.  No escorting discrepancies allowed per month.
  • Rotate the water pallets using the first in/first out method after each water delivery.
  • Verify that no damage has occurred during delivery and after each pallet has been downloaded.
  • Check that the shrink wrap integrity has been maintained for future pallet deliveries and sanitation. 
  • Monitor and respond to emails or phone calls from requestors asking for pickup or delivery of water pallets for all the facilities at location.  Requests received before 0900 hrs. will be delivered on the same day.  All requests must occur within 24 hours of the scheduled time or time of request.
  • Responsible for general cleanliness and trash removal, (cardboard, shrink wrap, etc.) from water delivery points to the appropriate dumpster.  Collect empty water pallets and return to the vendor at the water storage areas daily.

·        Escort as required repair technicians to ensure proper maintenance and repairs of Government owned appliances and equipment

·        Participate as needed in managing and delivering expendable and non-expendable supply and equipment items including breakdown and assembly of lodging furniture.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

·         High School diploma or equivalent.

·         Forklift Certification (6K + 10K) required, and 6K Boom lift experience.

·         Previous military experience operating heavy equipment.

·         Must have intermediate level skillset in computer functions including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License and be able to operate a vehicle with a manual transmission.
  • Valid US Passport preferred.
  • Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, including vaccination for COVID-19 as outlined in Paragraph 1.A. of the USCENTCOM JAN 22 MOD SIXTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Kuwait.
  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE:  Must have and maintain an U.S. DoD Secret Clearance.
