Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, PMO – Data & Analytics leads the execution and delivery oversight of enterprise data and AI programs—spanning cloud platform builds, data governance, advanced analytics, and AI/ML initiatives. This role integrates Agile delivery leadership with robust program governance, financial and vendor oversight, and risk management. A key aspect of this role is engaging executive sponsors and steering committees to ensure strategic alignment, executive buy-in, and sustained momentum across the data and analytics portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned delivery leader with deep program management expertise, a strong executive presence, and a track record of enabling business transformation through data.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Program & Portfolio Leadership

  • Lead a portfolio of enterprise-wide programs supporting data modernization, analytics enablement, AI use cases, and governance uplift.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into program roadmaps with clear objectives, milestones, and measurable KPIs.
  • Drive alignment between technical teams, data leaders, business sponsors, and transformation offices.

Executive & Governance Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, ensuring visibility into program goals, progress, risks, and business impact.
  • Facilitate and lead executive steering committees and governance forums; prepare program dashboards, escalate issues, and secure decisions.
  • Ensure alignment between delivery outcomes and strategic business objectives through ongoing executive engagement.

Agile & Hybrid Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee delivery teams across Agile and hybrid methodologies; manage Scrum Masters, Project Managers, and Agile Coaches.
  • Facilitate PI Planning, Agile Release Train coordination, and cadence-based execution using frameworks such as SAFe.
  • Foster delivery culture focuses on iteration, transparency, and continuous value delivery.

Financial Management

  • Own and manage the full financial lifecycle of the D&A portfolio—including budget planning, CapEx/OpEx tracking, variance analysis, and benefit realization.
  • Maintain alignment with enterprise investment governance and finance teams to ensure fiscal accountability.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Manage external vendors and system integrators supporting data platforms, cloud migrations, and consulting services.
  • Lead contract negotiations, performance reviews, deliverables tracking, and alignment to internal delivery models.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Proactively identify and manage risks across delivery, technology, data privacy, security, and regulatory dimensions.
  • Partner with enterprise risk and compliance teams to ensure data initiatives meet internal policies and external regulatory obligations.

Governance, Controls & Reporting

  • Implement enterprise-aligned PMO governance tailored for data and analytics delivery.
  • Deliver reporting and scorecards for executive audiences, covering scope, schedule, cost, value, risks, and decisions required.
  • Integrate metrics into platforms like Smartsheet, Jira, Clarity, or Power BI for real-time visibility.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Lead a high-performing team of program leaders and Agile practitioners; coach and develop talent across delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote a learning culture that fosters delivery discipline, agility, accountability, and innovation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • 10–15 years of experience in program and portfolio management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on data or digital transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive sponsors, lead steering committees, and present to senior leadership
  • Strong command of Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum), Lean delivery, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Experience managing enterprise-level budgets and external vendor relationships
  • PMP, SAFe Agilist, or Agile delivery certification required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling a PMO or delivery office
  • Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (Snowflake, Azure, Databricks), governance tools (Collibra, Informatica), and visualization (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Exposure to regulated environments (e.g., financial services, insurance) and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX)
