Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the Director of Provider Recruitment and Onboarding supervision, provides exceptional onboarding experience for new providers by ensuring timely notification and tracking of all required documents and processes. Works proactively and collaboratively with new providers, AtlantiCare leaders, Medical Staff, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to optimize the onboarding experience. Performs advanced coordination and onboarding support functions with providers which requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with highly sensitive information.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for all onboarding tasks for employed, non-employed and contracted providers.
  • Provides individualized support to new providers to ensure the timely completion of all licensing, credentialing and pre-employment requirements.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for providers navigating the New Jersey medical licensing process, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding logistics including data entry, ordering scripts, business cards and white coats.
  • Coordinate provider photo sessions and manage associated scheduling needs.
  • Assist with onboarding during organizational acquisitions, ensuring seamless credentialing and integration of providers.
  • Serves as liaison with support departments including HR, Compliance, IT, Service Lines and Medical Staff to ensure coordination of all pre-employment and onboarding activities are timely completed including physical exam, orientation and training.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate onboarding activity reports; lead monthly onboarding meetings and bi-weekly credentialing calls.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance in conjunction with medical staff team; point person for any audit from HR perspective
  • Additionally, the Provider Services Onboarding Specialist will provide administrative support to the physician recruitment team


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum Experience: 3+ years of HR or recruitment experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Experience working with providers and/or experience with the physician credentialing process preferred
  • Proven ability to use consultative skills and build strong proactive relationships
  • Results oriented with a demonstrated ability to work independently and perform a variety of tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and follow through on requests
  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Presenting effective interpersonal skills in dealing with executive leadership, clinical department administrators, managers, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook


PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.

This position requires desk/computer work a majority of the time. Visual acuity and manual dexterity required for data entry.

This position reports to the Director of Provider Recruitment and Onboarding.
