Overview

Manages the daily operational activities of the cardiac ECHO imaging services across Legacy Health in alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.


The manager is the first line of management and has 24-hour responsibility for the overall operations of a department or unit. Provides leadership and overall direction to the department working with physicians, medical director, director and department staff to plan and deliver cardiac ECHO imaging services to Legacy patients. Cardiac ECHO imaging services include but are not limited to echocardiology including echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, bubble studies, and contrast studies. Works with the Administrative and Medical Directors in program advancement, personnel management, quality assessment and assurance, operational, and financial direction of cardiac imaging services. Requires ability to work at all Legacy hospitals and perform clinical duties as needed.



Responsibilities

Manages operations:

  • Responsible for direct supervision of the Cardiac ECHO Imaging department and coordination of the day-to-day operations including staffing, fiscal management, and general operations.
  • Department services are expediently delivered through effective organization of staff and workload.

  • Ensures team members perform at their best by assessing technical and professional education needs and developing or providing educational resources to meet those needs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/formal training and experience.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Program.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in Cardiac Imaging Services.
  • Management or Supervisory experience required. Proven leadership expertise, financial management, and excellent human resource skills required.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, and workflow planning

Skills:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Experience using everyday technology tools (email, spreadsheets, word processing, voicemail, internet/intranet) to access, organize and store job-related information.
