Salary range: $22.94 - $27.53



Job Description

The Teller Specialist encompasses a high level of engagement with team members, proficiency, accuracy, and efficiency while serving members stated and unstated needs providing unparalleled service with financial direction, offering appropriate products, and service referrals. This position serves as a mentor and trainer to others on the Teller line.

Core Job Requirements/Outcomes

  • Protect the integrity and confidentiality of our membership by identifying members/account ownership to ensure proper access is upheld. Perform transactional duties to serve members with high accuracy in accordance with credit union policies and procedures as well as adhering to STCUs balancing standards and proper dual control.
  • Deepen member relationships by presenting and explaining credit union products and services to members that meet the members financial needs through positive interactions.
  • Exceed service expectations by creating unparalleled member experiences and excellence with every interaction, taking ownership of issues and challenges, increasing member loyalty, and delivering on our Here for Good brand promise.

Other Essential Functions

  • Maintain knowledge and communicate updates with credit union products, services, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist team members as needed for efficient operations of the branch with mentoring/training, troubleshooting, side duties, assisting with balancing challenges, evaluating holds for uncollected funds, and transaction overrides, etc.
  • Organize daily operations including scheduling, cash orders, reviewing overtime, teller meetings/showtimes, and safe deposit box entries.
  • Assist leaders with team member review/development input, interviews for selection of team members, detracting member surveys, resolving member issues and certification items.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Job Experience: At least five years previous Teller or financial services experience. Demonstrated proficiency in the Teller role at STCU may be considered.

Software Skills: Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 25 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Travel Demands: May be asked to travel to other STCU locations.

Other: Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization. This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations
