Coordinates project requirements and schedules with internal and external stakeholders and interacts with clients and related personnel to ensure understanding and compliance with project management process, established budgets, schedules, and University standards. Develops clients' scope of work, defines project requirements, and performs budgetary functions. Prepares and reviews contracts and recommends project selections.
Develops and manages the design of laboratory spaces, ensuring they meet the functional, safety, and operational needs of researchers and students. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, developing space programs, and contributing to the overall planning and execution of lab-related projects. Develops clients' scope of work, defines project requirements, and performs budgetary functions. Prepares and reviews contracts and recommends project selections.
• Coordinates project requirements and schedules with internal and external stakeholders and ensures compliance with the project management process, established budgets, schedules, and University standards.
• Develops a scope of work that accurately reflects the client's needs, budget, schedule, and University standards; defines project requirements not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire protection systems; reviews life safety and building related specifics.
• Establishes and manages preliminary budget; develops, monitors, validates, and pays invoices; ensures the approval of project funding; reviews and approves applications for payment.
• Prepares and reviews contract documents to ensure compliance with all manuals, needs, and University standards; maintains proper documentation, computer records, and project management software.
• Makes recommendations for project selections; obtains reviews; coordinates with others to meet goals and objectives.
Light Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
