DSS, Inc. is a leading health information software development and systems integration company, offering services and solutions utilized daily by thousands of clinicians and administrative staff across both public and private sectors nationwide. We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager. This position demands hands-on experience in Azure or AWS Cloud Infrastructure. In this role, you will have a deep understanding of high-level technical issues and play a critical part in overseeing the planning, execution and successful delivery of DSS's projects. This is a hybrid position and will require 2-3 days in the North Palm Beach office

OVERVIEW:

Project Manager (IT):

  • Will be responsible for supporting all the projects for enterprise infrastructure, applications, security, and solutions for DSS.
  • Provides guidance with the project development of DSS enterprise infrastructure, applications, security, and solutions.
  • Is responsible for managing all IT projects using project management software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Duties:

  • Is self-directed, with the ability to identify priorities, obstacles, and mobilize projects in an orderly fashion to achieve desired results and effectively use collaboration in driving decisions.
  • Has the ability to understand technical issues at a high level and be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
  • Works with Scrum teams, Product Owners (Product Line Managers), project managers and other departments to create a great collaborative environment.
  • Creates, manages, and tracks project progress documentation, including detailed project plans, project scope statements, resource plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.
  • Tailors project management, development, and support processes to meet the needs of Vendors/ External Clients and other departments.
  • Communicates with all Internal and External Customers and/or appropriate Stakeholders in regard to project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing sponsors.
  • Completes and submits to stakeholders the appropriate documentation required for the assigned project, which is stored in the appropriate DSS data repository for review by DSS management.
  • Helps to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Contributes to the design, development, testing and implementation of products by with the Product Line Manager and the product team.
  • Manages day-to-day activities of projects; communicates with the necessary groups to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within parameters set forth by Management.
  • Travels up to 10% of the time as necessary to support any IT project and as directed by Management

Other Duties:

  • Coordinates with other Project Managers (PM)
  • Coaches and mentors other members of the team.

  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Required:

  • 4+ years of practical professional experience in project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
  • 2+ years of experience in Azure or AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and/or software implementation project management.
  • Experience in the clinical, administrative, or technical specialty related to the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in Azure or AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experienced with JIRA Software and Plans.
  • Experienced with Azure DevOps and branch strategy.
  • Experienced with Agile methodologies.
  • Experienced with interface engines and establishing interfaces for web applications.
  • Experienced with API and Web Development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Is abreast of contemporary developments in EHR Software.
  • Understands the project life cycle, project performance measurements and methodologies.
  • Possesses the ability to guide staff in the fundamentals of iterative development, agile software development processes and procedures.
  • Is skilled at prioritizing and executing tasks.

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree; equivalent combinations of work experience and\or education will be considered.

  • Project Management Professional [PMP] preferred

COMPENSATION:

Salary at DSS, Inc. is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of DSS, Inc. total compensation package for employees.
