The Senior Bi-Lingual Mortgage Loan Officer plays a crucial role in originating a diverse range of

first, second, and ITIN mortgage loan products, catering specifically to the unique financial needs

and goals of WEOKIE members and non-members. Fluent in both English and Spanish, they

provide expert guidance, ensuring exceptional service that turns clients into raving fans.


MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

1) Regular attendance in the work site.

2) Set expectations upfront with borrower(s) and relay loan transaction requirements.

3) Provide assistant to applicants in the selection of the proper first, second, and ITIN

mortgage product.

4) Originates first, second, and ITIN mortgage loans including but not limited to taking a

borrower(s) application, assisting in the gathering of documentation, communicating

regularly with applicant/relevant parties, and submits loans to their assigned Mortgage

Loan Processor.

5) Cultivates and sustains partner-focused relationships with referral sources such as Real

Estate Agents, builders, and more. Actively engages in networking opportunities,

participating in events with organizations like the Hispanic Chamber, National Association

of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, OKC Mexican Consulate, among others. This strategic

approach ensures a well-rounded connection with the community and enhances WEOKIE’s

ability to serve the diverse needs of our members and non-members.

6) Manages individual pipeline and communicates loan status to members, referral partners

and Title Company when appropriate.

7) Learns and uses various in-house technical systems and programs to streamline the process

and reporting requirements. Documents all efforts in assurance to members’ loan closings.

8) Maintains an active knowledge base of all loan products and an understanding of the

qualifications required for each applicant. Maintains knowledge of and adherence to loan

level compliance and regulatory requirements.

9) Participates in regular coaching and performance evaluations.

10) Adhere to and execute the following SLA’s which are a requirement of the Bi-Lingual

Mortgage Loan Officer:

• <5% Abandon Ratio in the first mortgage phone queue

• 85% Occupancy in the first mortgage phone queue

• 10 minute response time to online first mortgage applications if submitted during

regular business hours. Overnight applications submitted online will be

responded to the next business day

11) Maintain individual mortgage licensing (NMLS) and continuing education requirements to

comply with federal and state guidelines relative to the position. Ensures proper policies,

procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in

policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and

risk is mitigated.

12) Assists with the training of new Bilingual Loan Officers, when applicable.


CRITICAL RESULTS: 

1) Members receive consistent high levels of communication and raving fans service.

2) Business goals and SLAs for loan applications, closed loan volume, loan queue calls, and

application pull through and follow-up are consistently met and often exceeded.

3) Business requirements and SLAs for file quality standards and compliance timing in

the origination and closing of first, second, and ITIN mortgage loans are consistently

met and often exceeded.

4) Applicable federal, state and corporate licensing and compliance regulations are

adhered to on a consistent basis.

5) All activities are efficiently conducted, generally error free, and are completed

following the appropriate policies, procedures, operational controls, and

compliance controls.

6) Losses, errors, and risks are controlled and mitigated by adhering to all applicable

policies and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS: 

A. Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills: The Bi-Lingual Mortgage Loan Officer

possesses the following knowledge and skills:

1) High School diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 1 year previous mortgage

experience in either the processing or origination of first, second, or ITIN mortgages is

preferred.

2) Demonstrate ability to analyze credit reports, automated underwriting decisions, title

commitments, purchase agreements, and other mortgage related documents including

the preparation of mortgage disclosure packages.

3) Demonstrate ability to learn and use the necessary software to complete job functions,

especially mortgage loan origination processing systems, along with third party websites.

4) Knowledge of conventional and FannieMae loan products and guidelines

5) Excellent Phone etiquette.

6) Demonstrate ability to learn and adhere to federal and state regulations/laws as they

pertain to mortgage lending.

7) Maintain all required NMLS and SAFE Act licensing requirements including:

a) Annual attestation and NMLS account review

b) Compliance with all internal SAFE Act Audits

c)Minimum of one SAFE Act training course per year

d)Applicant must be in good standing with all state and federal licensing authorities.

8)Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Email.
