Secondary Operations Associate:

The Secondary Operations Associate plays a key role in ensuring parts are properly handled, cleaned, and transitioned from production to their next destination, either finished goods inventory or post-processing vendors. This position performs visual inspection, part washing, and basic finishing tasks such as deburring. As one of the final checkpoints before parts are packed or shipped, this role is critical to maintaining Dahlquist’s high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, a consistent work ethic, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive completed parts from production and route them to either stock, shipping, or post-processing vendors (e.g., anodizing, plating, passivation)
  • Perform visual inspection to catch surface defects, burrs, or cleanliness issues before packaging
  • Wash, dry, and prepare parts of various sizes and materials using appropriate cleaning methods
  • Light deburring or surface prep as needed prior to shipment or outsourcing
  • Maintain accurate records of part movement and ensure correct labeling and staging
  • Communicate any quality concerns or missing documentation to the appropriate team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
  • Support other departments when needed to meet customer delivery timelines.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or quality-related role preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physically active work throughout the day
  • Comfortable working with various cleaning agents, wash equipment, and part handling tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and support continuous improvement initiatives
