Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Performs warehouse duties at the HAZMART Management Program at Fort Novosel, AL-SOUTH (Eglin Air Force Base, FL) (FRAL-SOUTH Eglin).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect, count, segregate, tag and sort items as directed.
  • Prepares supply documents.
  • I nventories and stores supplies.
  • Analytical abilities to locate and catalog stock; record keeping; accurately collect data; define supply problems .
  • Rearranging inventory
  • Handling shipments
  • Utilizing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory management
  • Examining stock conditions
  • Affixing bar code labels
  • Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

  • This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

    • 7:00AM-3:30PM (M-F)

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


Requirements:

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Essential :
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience as a warehouse specialist with 1-2 years of experience with Hazardous Materials.
  • Must be trained and certified in accordance with requirements of 29 CFR Part 1910.120, 29 CFR Part 1915.1200, 40 CFR Part 265.16 and 49 CFR Part 172.704
  • Must be able to read and comprehend military publications and apply requirements to job duties.
  • Must be able to perform detailed warehouse operations as assigned in accordance with AR 710-1 (Centralized Inventory Management of the Army Supply System) and AR 710-2 (Supply Policy Below the National Level).
  • Must have warehouse experience.
  • HAZWOPER certification is required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and able to fulfill obligations.
  • Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) -Safety Shoes are required and are a condition of employment. The employee must start work on day 1 with the appropriate safety shoes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. May be exposed to inclement/extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high, depending on location. Job will require working flexible hours, sometimes under short notice, to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

• Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

• Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

• Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

• Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
