Adena - Project Engineer

Summary:

The Project Engineer will manage and supervise at a project level all engineering and administrative policies, procedures, and functions. Coordinates with field operations to ensure transfer of information is delivered, understood, and implemented.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Assists Project Manager with preconstruction duties:
2. Reviews estimates developed by estimating group
3. Develops schedule, phasing, and logistics
4. Completes constructability review, when required
5. Develops bid packages and scopes of work
6. Bids, awards scopes of work, and procures subcontractors and suppliers
7. Assists in the coordination of the day-to-day management of the project under the direction of the Project Manager which includes but is not limited to:
8. Cost Control
9. Reports
10. Oversees the RFI And Submittal process
11. Produces and distributes monthly schedule updates
12. Works with Field Superintendent to ensure all field issues are resolved; subcontractors are adequately manning the project; and jobsite safety is maintained
13. Attends Project Manager meetings and documents through compilation of minutes
14. Properly maintains, updates and files project documents
15. Performs closeout and job completion documentation
16. Responsible to ensure a general understanding of the subcontracts and purchase orders executed for the project
17. Analyzes and mitigates project risk
18. Participates in RFQ/RFP responses as needed
19. Participates in project interviews as needed
20. Assist with finding and developing future job opportunities
21. Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment
22. Performs other duties as assigned

Adena - Project Engineer

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

1. High School diploma or GED required
2. Associate’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred or the equivalent work experience
3. Strong computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel required
4. VISTA accounting and project management software experience preferred
5. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
6. Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
8. Ability to work in a team environment
