JOB SUMMARY

  • Applies PM standards to manage projects (e.g., multi-phase, multi-discipline, multiple ranges). Implements project planning process and applies TMG information systems to develop project objectives, deliverables, work scope, project schedule, cost estimates, and analysis. Communicates project requirements to CTF leadership and supporting organizations internal and external to the 412 TW. Collaborates with the customer, engineers, logistics,operations, maintenance, key stakeholders, and resource providers to develop the requirements and project plan for successful test execution. Provision and resource allocations to support the established project timelines. Collaborate with the Program Analyst, Business Leader, and senior CTF management to complete a project plan/SOC and obtain buy-in with stakeholders. Obtains CTF and customer approval for required actions and documentation in support of successful project planning and execution. Works with greater independence and less oversight as experience is gained. Leads or co-leads the project team in the day-to-day management of projects. Coordinates project activities and resources. Facilitates day-to-day communication of project issues to the customer, CTF, TMG, and 412 TW leadership. Uses TMG standard cost and schedule management tools to drive priorities and accomplish work. Considers overall portfolio priorities in coordination with other PMs and Director of Projects. Works with the team and key stakeholders to resolve issues and minimize project delays Identify and mitigate project risks. Collaborates with key stakeholders to identify and resolve emerging risk to maintain project commitments. Coordinates project re-baselines for customer, supervisor, and DD approval when agreed commitments can no longer be met. Leads project close out actions and accomplishes post-project analysis.

Requirements:

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing and Implementing Test Strategies: Defining the overall approach to testing, including scope, methodologies, and tools. • Managing Testing Activities: Overseeing and coordinating various testing phases, such as unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing. • Team Management: Leading and mentoring a team of test engineers and flight test professionals, ensuring effective collaboration and performance. • Reporting and Analysis: Monitoring testing progress, identifying defects, and reporting on quality metrics to stakeholders. • Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that testing activities adhere to established quality standards, regulations, and best practices. • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with project managers, development teams, and other stakeholders to align testing efforts with project timelines and objectives. • Test Automation: Driving test automation efforts and promoting the use of testing tools and frameworks. • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks related to testing processes and project deadlines.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
  • Experience with various testing phases (Microsoft project, excel).
  • Proficiency in defect management systems and reporting tools.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • This skill level requires over 10 years of experience and a master's degree in the applicable discipline. This skill level typically works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. This skill level may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualification Substitutions:

  • Master's Degree - 12 years' work experience may be substituted for a master's degree or bachelor's degree plus 8 years work experience may be substituted for a master's degree.

SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
  • Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
  • Do you have the ability to pass a background check to be granted access to the specific working location installation bases to perform work for GMRE?

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
