Role Purpose

The Gateway Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the gateway operations to ensure efficient and timely processing of shipments. This role involves leading and developing a high-performing team, implementing best practices, and driving operational excellence, including network support or initiatives. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and business rules.

Main Accountabilities

· Lead and manage gateway operations to achieve performance targets and operational KPIs.

· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to achieve operational excellence, promoting a collaborative work environment and ensuring ongoing training.

· Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and optimize costs within the gateway.

· Ensures operations are driving quality through efficiency while adhering to compliance standards.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high employee engagement within the team, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations, including with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ground services within the supply chain.

· Monitor compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.

· Prepares and support cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluates cost factors; recommends changes in Gateway process pertaining to cost control and efficiency, as well as time and motion, work standards, work methods, personnel utilization, service, and quality.

· Coordinates and support network optimization in order to ensure service, productivity and compliance with operational standards.

· Support or promote implementation of sustainable practices in Gateway operations, seeking to reduce the carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency (Go green).

· Other multifunctional support functions or projects to be define by Operation Vice President or the Area Office.

Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field. Master degree desired.

· Languages: Native Spanish speaker with proficient English skills.

· Proven experience leading large teams in a logistics and customs environment.

· Knowledge of logistic regulations and compliance standards.

· Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and achieve operational goals.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, at all levels of the organization.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

· Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
