Temporary Manual Machinist - $40-$50 per hour

About the Role:

We are currently in need of skilled Temporary Manual Machinist to fabricate parts for our product lines using machine tools (e.g., lathes, mills, saws, grinders, hand tools, etc.). This temporary assignment is expected to work until October 3, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machining: Operate manual lathe, Prototrak mill, tub saw, band saw and belt sander.
  • Design & Fixturing: Fabricate fixtures as needed to machine parts to completion. Support the design of and construct fixtures for assembly and manufacturing needs to meet production schedules and objectives.
  • Blueprints: Work from solid models, prints, and sketches, and understand verbal and written engineering instructions.
  • Computer Use: Interact with ERP computer system to ensure inventory and job accuracy.
  • Safety: Meet safety and quality requirements for machine shop practices.
  • Collaboration: Make suggestions to engineering and other manufacturing personnel on rework and repair procedures. Train other team members on machine use. Interface with management as required to resolve technical, business and process related issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 9+ years machining experience.
  • Functional knowledge of precision measurement devices; power, pneumatic, and hand tools.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.on a repetitive basis.
  • Ability to pass vision acuity tests with or without vision correction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical or trade school diploma/certification in machining.
  • Experience running a Prototrak Mill.
