Description:

Hui Huliau Defense Systems is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Facilities Maintenance and Configuration Support located at Schofield AFB on O'ahu, Hawai'i.

This individual will support government contracts as well as team members within the organization. This individual will execute a full range of duties with a focus on guiding and supervising the activities and schedule of a project to ensure each aspect is complete and accurate. This individual will be expected to motivate their team members to create a productive work environment and encourage teams to work collaboratively during each step of the project process. This individual will consistently engage with their team members to answer questions and offer feedback. Under general direction, acts as the on-site program manager to plan, execute, and control Maintenance and Services on projects with assigned customers. No travel is expected in this position.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Comply with all 29 CFR 1910, Occupational Safety and Health Standards and EM385-1-1 US Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements. Must complete required training.
  • Maintain Hazardous Waste (HAZWASTE) accumulation site and submit HAZWASTE documents to safety officer for processing. Contractor shall complete required training.
  • Comply with DPW Environmental and Safety
  • Coordinate and Issue appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Develop and process procurement requests for safety materials and/or equipment, as needed, including but not limited to maintaining the Emergency Locker Inventory as required by Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
  • Track and follow-up on facility repair maintenance requests and produce tracker for PMO
  • Conduct fire extinguisher monthly checks throughout Buildings and Sites of task order performance.
  • Perform maintenance at the facility as required
  • Perform basic maintenance of the HVAC
  • Perform basic maintenance of the onsite MHE and machines that support maintenance.
  • Arrange, manage and control POL at facility.
  • Perform spot checks of HAZMAT, POL, and other controlled items.
  • Retrieve Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) data from Energy Management Control System (EMCS) and provide data to facility manager monthly.
  • Setup and takedown reserved parking and restricted zone signs, as required.
  • Setup, configure, and takedown working areas and/or conference rooms, as required.
  • Install, mount or remove white boards, posters, picture frames, and other miscellaneous small items as needed.
  • Set up additional lighting throughout the building during electrical/power outages.
  • • Set up and remove recycling (bottles, toners, paper, etc.) and shred bins as needed and as requested.
  • Obtain, track and maintain load tickets for monthly reporting.
  • Conduct daily facility checks for maintenance issues, process TF-1 maintenance work orders, FEWR, and notify facility manager of any issues needing attention.
  • Raise and lower United States flag, as required.
  • Maintain break area cleanliness, restrooms, trash, recycling, dumpsters and conduct pressure washing as required.
  • Certified on Forklift up to 15k, and able to obtain certification on all other maintenance equipment.
  • Coordinate and restock all supplies.
  • Operate and supervise police call, weed whacking, debris removal, lawnmower etc.
  • Change and replace shredder bags and oil jugs at each paper and media shredder as required.
  • Produce all required documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manage Tool Control program, conduct monthly inspections, and provide quarterly reports

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • or In lieu of degree, equivalent to 5+ years of work experience and/or trade school in the related field is acceptable.
  • Large Facility/Complex Management experience.
  • At least 5+ years of experience performing facilities maintenance and configuration support duties.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a military environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of Office365 (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Understanding of locations business practices.

Security Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information. Position requires an active Secret Clearance or higher with the willingness to obtain a Top Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
  • Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • May include lifting weight up to fifty (50) pounds as necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
