The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the general maintenance and care of
the organization’s facilities, equipment, and grounds. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor will be a
working supervisor while also overseeing and directing a team of building maintenance technicians. The
role will travel between local facilities, work effectively under minimal supervision, and can work a
flexible schedule.

As a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Effectively planning and supervising the daily operation of the Maintenance staff supporting the
    troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of various machinery and equipment in a productive and
    safe environment
  • Performing field service on various work orders, which include but are not limited to electrical,
    mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and machine repair
  • Developing, continually monitoring, and appropriately evolving the preventive maintenance
    (PM) schedule and procedures
  • Processing and follow-up with requesters daily on Facilities work orders through a work order
    management system
  • Inventory control of Facilities supplies needed for maintenance and repair related to building
    and grounds, including maintaining vehicle and equipment inventory
  • Working with various contractors in planning and estimating small Facilities projects
  • Assisting with internal project construction support as needed, which includes estimating labor
    and materials

To be considered as a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will need:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a building maintenance technician in a commercial and/or
    industrial field including practical experience in electrical, plumbing, construction,
    carpentry, heating and cooling systems and building compressed air systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor leading and directing maintenance
    technicians
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documents including blueprints and strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, including strong proficiency with
    Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Skilled in the use of power tools and hand tools and must have own tools
  • Ability to effectively maintain current preventative maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures
    as well as develop and implement new PM schedules and procedures

A successful candidate may also have:

  • Experience operating a forklift and scissor lift
  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) experience
  • PeopleSoft experience or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
