Position Summary:

Midnight Sun AUS is looking to hire a Roofer to repair existing and install new roofs with a variety of materials including but not limited to Tar, asphalt, shingles, gravel, metal or single ply roofing while following OSHA regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install systems according to material manufacturer requirements.
• Install new roofs or repair roofs already constructed.
• Laying, cutting, and tacking roofing materials.
• Work with waterproof rubber or thermoplastic compounds
• Work with Tar, asphalt, shingles, gravel, metal or single ply roofing
• Ensure all required materials have been purchased and delivered to jobsite prior to need.
• Complete documentation and communication with Superintendent or project manager.
• Work with a variety of construction tools and equipment to complete required tasks.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Following all OSHA regulations.
• Enforce work performance in accordance with job specifications, safety guidelines and OSHA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years roofing experience as a skilled laborer.
• Experience working with: tar, asphalt, shingles, gravel, metal and single ply roofing.
• Must be able to work with waterproof rubber or thermoplastic compounds.
• Ability to work on steep-slope roofs.
• Experience installing systems according to material manufacturer requirements.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience installing new or repairing roofs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Must have an Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!

Certifications/Licenses/Other

• OSHA 10-Hour certification required.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in extreme heat in the summer months.
• Work will be conducted inside and outside the building.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently lifting and moving materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to work on steep sloped roofs, bend, crouch and climb ladders.
