Technical Subject Matter Expert - Senior (Operations)

Primary Location: Quantico, VA

Clearance: Active DoD Secret


Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Technical Subject Matter Expert to lead operations support for enterprise IT systems. This role focuses on resolving complex technical issues, optimizing system performance, and ensuring data integrity across production environments. You'll work closely with operations, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to maintain high availability and support mission-critical logistics functions. This position serves as a key technical leader supporting enterprise operations across production and development environments, involving deep collaboration with operations teams, system administrators, database engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to ensure system uptime, data integrity, and performance optimization.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for complex incidents and recurring problems
  • Support the Operations Center (GOC) and Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) with Tier 3 troubleshooting
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to Oracle EBS configurations, RICECPW objects, and interface/data flows
  • Forecast capacity needs and recommend system tuning or hardware adjustments
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and network teams to resolve performance bottlenecks
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring traceability, data integrity, and compliance with control frameworks
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement


Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, systems integration, or technical architecture roles
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale ERP or logistics systems in production environments
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across infrastructure, middleware, and data layers
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service operations, including incident, problem, and change management
  • Experience supporting Tier 3 operations, including root cause analysis (RCA), capacity planning, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of system administration, database management, and interface/data flow troubleshooting
  • Splunk experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, RICECPW components, and middleware technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automated monitoring
  • Experience with audit readiness, data integrity, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISCAM)
  • Exposure to AI/ML-assisted monitoring and predictive analytics for operations
  • Experience supporting enterprise service desk (ESD) operations and knowledge base development

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Must be able to work in a secure federal environment
  • Standard office environment with computer workstation
  • Ability to work on-site at Quantico, VA location
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment
  • Must be available for on-call support as needed for critical incidents
