Position Summary:

Midnight Sun AUS is looking to hire a Carpenter to perform general carpentry duties that includes constructing, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of drywall, wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools, and conforming to local building codes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Read construction plans and drawings.
• Measuring, laying, cutting, and hanging drywall.
• Installing doors, frames and hardware.
• Complete documentation and communication with Superintendent or project manager.
• Work with a variety of construction tools and equipment to complete required tasks.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
• Following all OSHA regulations.
• Enforce work performance in accordance with job specifications, safety guidelines and OSHA.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma required.
• Must have minimum five (5) years' experience in construction at reading construction plans and/or drawings, measuring and laying out ceiling grid, measuring and laying drywall track/framing, cutting and hanging drywall, installing doors, frames and hardware.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Must have an Uncompromising Commitment to Safety!

Certifications/Licenses/Other

• OSHA 10-Hour certification required.

Work Environment:

• Commercial office building that consists of offices, conference rooms, mechanical rooms, etc.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently lifting and moving materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
• Must be able to work on steep sloped roofs, bend, crouch and climb ladders.
