Responsibilities

Strategic Planning Requirements

  • Provide optimized transport routing plans using route optimization tool – Paragon. Ensure the plans effectively maximize truck utilization/ truck turn given operations criteria (OTIF, truck capacity, time window, product combination, etc.) and customers’ priorities are fully met.
  • Lead the route optimizer implementation and improvement projects, that involve multiple stakeholders: Operations/ IT/ Subcontractors/ Operations Excellence/ Key Account Management/ SD/ BD/ KAM/ etc. and Regional team.
  • Well-manage the planning parameter configuration and capable of running simulations for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Make sure SOPs and WIs are well established. Furthermore, be able to drive process improvement & digitalization.
  • Work closely with daily planners and operations to improve transport route plans via getting their feedback as well as reviewing actual transport plan execution.
  • Establish and provide planning performance reports to internal stakeholders and/or external stakeholders.
  • Be logical and data driven in understanding problems and developing practical solutions to those problems.

Management Requirements

  • Set KPIs, targets, and goals for monitoring and evaluating operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure that appropriate data is correctly and efficiently stored, processed and made available at all times.
  • Ensures that DHL comply with prevailing legal and statutory requirements in all aspects
  • Develop a culture of quality, service excellence, and cost consciousness.
  • Participate in safety committee initiatives - allows and supports staff to participate in safety committees as required.
  • Ensures that the employees comply with the rules, regulations, instructions, orders or measures relating to work safety.
  • Checks the performances of the place of operations according to the work plan, project or measures on work safety.
  • Complies with company OHS policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field, preference to Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
  • Strong analytical thinking and data processing skills
  • Transport management and transport planning
  • Understanding of logistics operations, focused on transport executional approaches
  • 4+ years in relevant experience with transport product management, network planning, transport management system & data analysis, control tower concepts, project management.
