Assembler II
Work with a variety of tools and machinery to aid in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of component parts and products. Conduct all activities in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and regulations. Training may be required in order to understand industry processes and standards.
What You Will Do
Use a variety of tools and machinery to assemble, make or repair component parts and products
Interpret technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal or written instructions.
Ensure that all parts and products are in proper working order and meet the quality standards of the company and industry; identify any defective items and handle according to established quality procedures; fill out all paperwork as required.
Work with other members of the group in order to ensure products are assembled in accordance with standard procedure.
Maintain work area, along with machines, tools, and equipment in a safe, neat, clean and orderly condition.
Meet all safety requirements of the company and industry.
Identify and assist in remediation of any and all safety hazards in the work place.
Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures.
Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
What You Will Have
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail; excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise
Ability to use measuring equipment such as measuring tapes, verniers and calipers, and read gauges
Ability to follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and use hoists to pick up heavy parts
Ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents
Must be team player who is willing to work with those in their assigned groups
Must be willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
Must have good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to differentiate between colors
