We’re offering a signing bonus for this key leadership role. The Survey Project Manager is responsible for leading land surveying projects from initiation through completion, with a primary focus on transportation and public service sectors. This role ensures that all project deliverables meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, company quality standards, and financial goals. As the main point of contact between SAM and its clients, the Survey Project Manager oversees both field and office teams, drives business development efforts, and supports staff growth and development.

• Lead transportation and public-sector land survey projects from planning through delivery
• Prepare and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, contracts, and billing
• Supervise and allocate resources across field and office teams
• Sign and seal plats, field notes, and right-of-way drawings as needed
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact
• Support business development and lead public-sector proposal efforts
• Mentor staff and uphold technical and quality standards

• Previous experience managing large scale Transportation/Public Service survey projects
• Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members
• Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly
• Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
• Professional License required
