Inventory Control Supervisor


As an Inventory Control Supervisor, you will manage the daily operations of inventory control within the assigned Group O facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and efficient tracking of inventory levels, monitor stock movements, and implement best practices to maintain optimal inventory levels. You will lead a team of inventory control specialists and work closely with other departments such as procurement, warehouse, and sales to ensure smooth and efficient inventory operations.

Key Responsibilities


Lead and mentor a team of inventory control specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
Oversee the tracking and recording of inventory levels, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
Physically label storage areas, managing inbound expectations, putting away inventory.
Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile physical counts with system records, Cycle counts, Zero bin audits, and duplicate bin resolutions.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory data.
Investigate and report on parts received with damages and incorrect quantities.
Manage the identification, recording and receiving of Merch overstock parts. Monitor and report on slow-moving inventory and manage the disposition of end-of-life parts.
Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor trends, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions. Provide regular updates to management on inventory status and key performance indicators.
Monitoring and reporting on slow-moving inventory, managing the disposition of end-of-life parts, and recording inventory adjustments and associated reason codes and notes.
Work closely with various departments to coordinate inventory activities and ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Maintain and optimize inventory management systems, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency. Identify and implement system improvements to enhance inventory control processes.
Unload inventory from trucks, count and record inventory, receiving inventory into warehouse management system.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance inventory control efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise


Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma
3+ years of experience in inventory control or supply chain management, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads.
Ability to drive a forklift.
Ability to lift items weighing up to 35 pounds.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent mindfulness, and proficiency in inventory management software and systems.
Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with effective communication and people skills.
Understanding of inventory control best practices, warehouse operations, and supply chain principles.
Desired Qualifications

Associate degree
Aptitude to learn the use of scales, forklifts, and other production equipment.
