General Summary

The School of Communication, Media & Theatre Arts invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer position in the undergraduate and graduate program.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Meeting with students during class time (Fridays from 9am-3pm) and outside of assigned class times, as required
• Casting and staging the tour with a group of student performers, designers, and technicians
• Facilitate tour dates by travelling with students, assisting in setting up, running, and striking performances
• Travel with students to multiple tour dates each semester. Serving as both chaperone and, at time, driver for students
• Assessing student work and performance.
• Preparing syllabi and course materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

The desired candidate will have at minimum a Master's degree in Drama / Theatre for the Young, Theatre Arts, or a related field. The candidate is required to have a valid US Driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

An MFA in Applied Drama / Theatre for the Young and experience teaching at the college level.
