JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for managing a large Sherworks/Spray Source facility. This position will promote services by visiting stores, customers, managers, and companies.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise and other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the general public.

This position’s typical schedule is 40 hours per week, which may include evenings and/or weekends.

This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company’s applicable plans.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Searches for marketing opportunities and new customers.
  • Promotes service by visiting stores, customers, managers, and companies.
  • Provides advertising in local areas to make everyone aware of Sherworks/Spray Source.
  • Coordinate events and ideas with vendors and Branch/District Manager.
  • Present products and services to customers in a manner that provides solutions and benefits and strengthens the Sherwin-Williams name.
  • Accompany sales representatives and store personnel to assist with the demonstration of spray equipment.
  • Assist in the development of district spray equipment promotions and sales campaigns.
  • Manage a large Sherworks/Spray Source facility.
  • Evaluate stores to determine needs and wants of Sherworks/Spray Source in a group, and create a sales plan like the SherPlan, but more catered to Sherworks/Spray Source.
  • Educate employees and customers on spray equipment.
  • Attend national sales meetings.
  • Must be able to carry out the jobs of Repair Technician and Lead Repair Technician, and Branch Coordinator.
  • Support wholesale events (i.e. truckload sales, pro-shows, etc.).
  • Work with Branch/District Manager, sales representatives, and paint stores to increase sales and Sherworks/Spray Source business.
  • Meet customers’ needs and recommend the right product to them.
  • Handle customer complaints within district guidelines and in a timely manner, including visits to the customer’s job site for repairs if necessary.
  • Refer sales leads to proper store.
  • Conduct follow-up on customer sales and repairs.
  • Manage billed hours and sales, suggesting bargains with vendors and Branch/District Manager.
  • Manage audit issues on new equipment.
  • Recommend and maintain inventory levels of spray parts.
  • Be familiar with all operations, inventory, problems, and corrections.
  • Ensure Sherwin-Williams Policy and Procedures and SherWorks/Spray Source mission, sales, and policy are being followed
  • Ensure safety, loss prevention and security practices are followed according to policy and correct or report non-compliance.
  • Responsible for the proper, handling, storing, labeling, cleaning up spills, disposing of and filing all paperwork associated with hazardous material/waste.
  • Assist in providing necessary input for development of annual budget and track budget.
  • Coordinate sales specials, controllable expenses, and budgetary concerns.
  • Perform/direct review of all management/financial reports and respond/resolve problems as necessary.
  • Implement plans for cutting costs and being more profitable.
  • Accountable for profit/loss and expense responsibilities.
  • Close all PO’s from vendor, making sure they are correct for Cleveland to pay.
  • Responsible for all expenses to the store.
  • Respond to Audit Report and take necessary corrective action in a timely manner.
  • Determine staffing needs, recruit branch employees accordingly with proper approval, conduct in-depth interviews, and establish work schedules as appropriate.
  • Make sure store hours are correct for time and attendance reports.
  • Determine employee training needs and implement training as appropriate.
  • Ensure that branch staff performs at a level appropriate to meet branch objectives by clearly communicating assignments and expectations, conducting performance appraisals and administering discipline as required.
  • Develops positive relationships with others to better accomplish work goals.
  • Effectively meets customer needs and builds productive customer relationships. Takes responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty by treating customers like GUESTS.
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas to others in a manner that helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Actively participates as a member of a team to help the store achieve its goals.
  • Provides teaching, guidance and feedback to help employees grow professionally and to achieve the financial objectives for the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to work all scheduled hours as needed.
  • Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
  • If usage of employee’s own vehicle is required, employee must obtain appropriate insurance as defined by Corporate Policy.
  • Employee is required to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
