Position Contingent Upon Contract Award
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead the analysis, design, and implementation of business solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction. This role involves gathering and interpreting data, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and translating business needs into functional and technical requirements. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, critical thinker, and advisor who helps bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)
l Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts
l Analyze business processes, workflows, and systems to identify improvement opportunities
l Translate business needs into clear, detailed, and testable functional and technical requirements
l Create documentation including business requirements, user stories, use cases, process maps, and data models
l Act as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on solution design
l Support project planning, change management, and implementation efforts for new systems or enhancements
l Develop and execute test plans; assist in user acceptance testing (UAT)
l Prepare reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support decision-making
l Monitor performance metrics post-implementation to ensure benefits realization
l Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of BA best practices and standards.
LEVEL OF SUPERVISION:
· Must be able to function independently
· Provide overview and general use training to all organization members and key leaders upon request
Travel Required:
· 10%
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
l Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business. One year of related work experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
l Exceptional knowledge or understanding of the procurement business process.
l Extensive knowledge or understanding within the DoD procurement systems and performing process improvement, business analytics, gap analysis, corrective actions, standard operation procedures (SOP) development, and/or Policy development, Project Management, Estimation, and Planning.
l Knowledge or understanding of IT systems functional analysis, requirements design, test development, and test execution.
l Demonstrated knowledge or understanding with the software development lifecycle.
l Strong written and oral communication skills.
l Experience in working both independently and with a team to solve problems.
l Self-starter with initiative and aptitude to quickly learn and put new skills to use.
l Experience working in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings to facilitate and support the contract requirements.
l Knowledge or understanding in preparing and presenting systems training to users
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
l Experience in ERP, CRM, or custom enterprise system implementations
l Background in industries such as finance, healthcare, government, or tech
l Business Analyst certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA
