Final Painter Overview

 

We are looking for a Final Painter that is detail-oriented and reliable to join our production team in a manufacturing environment focused on renewable energy solutions. This role is responsible for the final finishing of wood components, ensuring quality and consistency in appearance and function. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and a commitment to craftsmanship. The Final Painter will report to the CNC Wood Manager.

 

  • Hand-paint holes, slots, and counterbores on wood components to meet quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Clean up overspray and ensure all surfaces are free of defects or contaminants before final inspection.
  • Apply non-slip tape and other finishing materials as specified in production documentation.
  • Inspect parts for paint coverage, finish quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and painting equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines.
  • Document work performed and report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
  • Other job duties as directed by management.

 

Qualifications

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to read and interpret work instructions
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Must have basic Math skills and can accurately read/use a tape measure
  • Must be able to accurately read and follow work instructions
  • Must be able to successfully interface with a computer to access manufacturing shop floor control system
  • Must be able to identify and operate basic hand tools and small power tools
  • Must have a passion for doing a job well
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Must be a “self-motivated” team player
  • Must be able to fulfil essential job requirements, including the ability to lift 50 pounds, work in variable temperature conditions, and stand for long periods of time.
