Overview

Lutron is seeking a strategic, results-driven Sales Director based near Charlotte, North Carolina to lead and grow our business with Lowe's - one of our most critical retail partners. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Lutron and Lowe’s, responsible for driving sales, managing and strengthening relationships, and executing business strategies that align with both companies’ objectives.  The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a deep understanding of retail operations and a proven ability to grow national accounts.



Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing the in–store and online Lutron sales for Lowe's
  • Establish trusting, strategic relationships across all functional areas and levels at Lowe's headquarters to create a true win-win business partnership
  • Work with Lutron senior leadership and critical functional areas to develop the overarching account strategy
  • Identify new business opportunities within the account through use of data analytics to expand Lutron’s footprint
  • Lead planning and execution of promotions, resets, and merchandising initiatives in collaboration with Lowe’s merchant teams.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in alignment with company goals and profitability targets.
  • Resolve business and people challenges and conflicts to ensure continuity of business
  • Safeguard and expand SKU listings to maintain Lutron’s leadership position in the marketplace
  • Set direction and prioritization for Lutron field sales team, aligning efforts for maximum impact
  • Work collaboratively with channel marketing to drive cohesive brand messaging and strategic campaigns


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 15+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in national account management – preferably with Lowe's or other big box retailers
  • Proven understanding of retail sales, merchandising, and supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record of growing retail accounts and delivering results
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in retail analytics tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
