Overall Role Purpose

Performs the procedures for providing a consistent approach to handle un-cleared and undeliverable shipments. Performs network and administrative duties on behalf of the Service Centre in order to process material (both inbound and outbound) and provide network and shipment information often within tight time-frames.

External

ยง Attend to customer need at all times in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.

ยง Shipment Delivery is to meet RDD and PU are uplifted as per RFU and no miss PU.

ยง Provide timely customer feedback to Team Leaders and Supervisor

ยง Follow up on all customer enquires

ยง Direct Customer to the right DHL department when further information are required

Internal

ยง Reporting to Operations Centre Supervisor

ยง Inform Supervisors and Team Leaders on all service related issues

ยง Be accountable and honest and meet performance expectation

ยง To provide suggestion to improve operation efficiencies or business need

ยง To be able to meet special delivery or PU expectation

ยง To be able to participate in shipment sorting and unloading

ยง Carry out any task that is required by his or her superiors from time to time.

Stakeholder

External

ยง To be able to work with contractors to ensure that shipments beyond a courierโ€™s capability are attend to on a urgent basis

ยง To alert Team Leaders/Despatch Officers in advance when contractor help is required

ยง To be able to separate shipment belonging to contactor early

Internal

Customer Services Team/Dispatch Team

ยง To meet the expectation of delivery and PU as per service memo by CS

ยง To provide quality feedback to customer service on service incidents when need arises

ยง To be able to communicate with Despatch / CS when customer needs changes and uses initiative to meet customer need

Sales Team

ยง To be able to provide good sales lead to sales team

ยง To build good rapport with sales team and customer for continuous business

ยง To be able to provide quality feedback to Sales when shipment profile changes or when competitors are prospecting the customer.

Process

Shipment delivery and collection

ยง Deliver without delay all inbound shipments

ยง Collect within a standard time frame, all Outbound Shipments and ensure these are passed over to Outbound Processing without delay

ยง Electronically Record via a scanner (or manually if required) all shipment process activities

ยง Ensure all cash transactions resulting from the delivery or collection of shipments

ยง Ensure the maintenance of allocated vehicle

ยง Perform duties professionally and courteously in line with Company image with respect to all road users

ยง Ensure the security and integrity of all shipments whilst in his/her care

YOUR PROFILE:

Skills

ยท Communication skills (English and local language), spoken and written

Experience

ยท Experience in DHL and knowledge of Network Control activities following Company training

Educational Qualifications

ยท At least 2 years in college

ยท Driving License (current and valid)

ยท Fork Lift License (preferable)
