Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s One Stop department is seeking to hire a One Stop Generalist I. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
- Directly support student efforts to successfully transition to USA and reach their completion goals, providing guidance to applicants and students who need additional support to navigate the student experience.
- Answers questions via incoming phone calls, live chats, and in-person visits regarding federal financial aid, student account services and questions related to other student services areas, as needed.
- Directs calls to other departments, as applicable.
- Logs communications in the database as needed for audit trail purposes.
- Assists with onboard training and refresher training as needed.
- Provides accurate information quickly, efficiently and with a positive attitude by demonstrating a high-level of communication skills and extensive knowledge with those you are working with to ensure they feel supported.
- Exceeds expectations and ensures calls and visits are managed with student-first mentality.
- Attends and participates in scheduled events during and after office hours, as needed.
- Participates in extended office hours as scheduled during the year.
- Provides general office support that assists in the functioning of the office.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
- Related duties as required.
