Job Purpose
Support the development and administration of business development plans and processes to generate new and additional business, maximize profit, and grow market share in alignment with the business strategy, financial targets, and Group policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in executing business development strategies to meet customer acquisition, retention, and revenue targets.
Identify new business opportunities and initiate contact with targeted prospects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and potential key accounts.
Leverage market research and feasibility studies to evaluate market potential and drive commercial decisions.
Understand client needs and align them with DHL's service offerings.
Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, pre-proposal visits, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing deals.
Promote DHL services and maximize brand visibility among prospects and industry contacts.
Engage with non-buying accounts and reintroduce DHL’s value proposition.
Collaborate with internal teams, including inside sales and product management, to share market intelligence and competitor insights.
Coordinate efforts to respond to customer requests and tailor service offerings to client needs.
Tackle challenges by adapting work methods, even when clear procedures may not exist.
Communicate company practices, standards, and policies effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
Influence peers within the function by explaining procedures, standards, and key policies.
Build relationships and maintain a clear understanding of client and stakeholder interests.
Resolve task-related issues efficiently to ensure productive work relationships.
Profile Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
Experience: More than 2 years in business development, sales, or related roles.
