The Application Analyst is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and ensuring the stability of business applications used across DHL Express Thailand. This role serves as a key bridge between IT and business functions, providing both technical and functional support to ensure that systems align with operational needs. The analyst is expected to proactively identify improvement opportunities, resolve technical issues, and support integration across systems and teams.
Success in this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to learn independently, and a solid understanding of how business processes interact with IT systems. The ideal candidate is self-driven, accountable, collaborative, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
Business & Application Support
Proactively identify recurring user issues or pain points and recommend system/process improvements.
Track and analyze user support trends to optimize support efficiency or propose automation.
Provide daily support and troubleshooting for business applications.
Act as the first point of contact for application-related issues from users.
Understand and analyze business processes to propose appropriate IT solutions.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications or change requests.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with test case preparation.
Train end users and create user manuals or quick guides.
Technical & System Support
Support system integration testing (SIT) and work with technical teams to ensure proper end-to-end data flow.
Maintain configuration or parameter mapping documentation for easier future troubleshooting or onboarding.
Perform application configuration, parameter setup, or system setting changes.
Collaborate with DHL Global team , RO team , developers or vendors to resolve technical issues.
Monitor application performance and error logs; escalate critical issues as needed.
Validate API or interface functionality between DHL and external and troubleshoot data integration issues.
Support deployments, patching, and version control activities.
Participate in root cause analysis for recurring issues or major incidents.
Database (DB) & Data Support
Run SQL queries to extract or validate data for issue analysis and report generation.
Investigate data mismatches between systems or modules or mapping creation between application.
Support data correction, mass uploads, or database patching (with DBA or vendor).
Monitor scheduled data jobs and resolve failures related to DHL application data.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain up-to-date documentation including functional specs, change logs, and issue logs.
Ensure all changes follow internal IT change management process.
Comply with corporate IT security, audit, and data protection policies.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Customs, etc.) to ensure application alignment with business operations.
Facilitate regular review sessions with users or key stakeholders to gather feedback and plan improvements.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in application support, business analysis, or IT solution delivery.
Strong understanding of business processes, with the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
Hands-on experience in application configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and system integration.
Proficiency in SQL for data validation, analysis, and report generation.
Familiarity with API integrations, troubleshooting data interfaces, and working with structured data.
Strong documentation skills, including functional specifications and user manuals.
Knowledge of IT change management, system lifecycle, and compliance with IT security standards.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills; able to learn independently without constant supervision.
Takes ownership of assigned responsibilities, with a clear understanding of their role and deliverables.
Good interpersonal skills and a positive working attitude; enjoys collaboration and cross-functional teamwork.
Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
