Job Purpose:

The Legal & Commercial Contract Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the legal aspects of contracts within the logistics sector. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance, as well as expertise in employment litigation and employment relations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all contracts are legally sound, protect the company’s interests, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contract Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to logistics services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, from inception to execution, and monitor compliance with contractual obligations, including tracking expiration dates and providing timely alerts to operations.

• Legal Compliance:

  • Legal support for business units.
  • Handling claims and legal inquiries related to assigned sectors.
  • Ensure legal compliance and risk management aligned with internal policies and applicable laws.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation related to logistics and employment law, advising management on necessary adjustments.
  • Support in corporate, governance, and real estate matters.

• Employment Litigation:

  • Provide legal support in employment litigation matters, including but not limited to disputes related to contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed to manage litigation cases effectively.

• Employment Relations:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maintain positive employment relations within the organization.
  • Advise management on employee rights, workplace policies, and best practices to mitigate legal risks.

• Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries and legal matters.
  • Facilitate communication between legal, commercial, and operational teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions.

Who we are looking for:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the logistics or transportation sector.
• Proven experience in employment litigation and a strong understanding of employment relations.

• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in contract management software and legal research tools.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• High ethical standards and professionalism.
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Availability to work hybrid in Cuautitlán Izcalli
• Proficiency in English
